Tankceu Planners’ Meeting
of 14 June 2025 in Warsaw (PL)
On recommendation of our member Marlep, the Board selected Warsaw as destination for the Tankceu Planners meeting. Warsaw appeared to be completely new for quite some participants.
In the morning planners of the chemical and foodgrade department sit together in the main meeting room, where Henk Hofman and the Board introduce newcomers and present the latest edition of both the TankceuNews and the Tankceu Info Book.
Christoph Rombout shows his colleagues a dynamic video of Alochem, a new branch office of Altrea, operational since over a half year. René van de Ven explains that Imperial Netherlands and Germany were renamed DP World Chemical Transport BV respectively DP World Chemical Transport GmbH. Legend, also part of DP World, joined DP World Netherlands in their office in Barendrecht. Elisabeth Ortiz gives a clear overview of EBTrans, including the Williamson Group and Mertz Group that were taken over by EBTrans.
Henk Hofman tells about his visit of the tank storage in Bilbao, purchased by Dekker. After the one in Bilbao, Dekker acquired two more tank storages in Spain: one in Malaga and one in Tarragona.
In addition he reports about the visit of Jan Duel and himself of the company Tet Global Lojistik (TGL) in Istanbul. They got a very good impression of TGL and were pleased with their interest in Tankceu and TGL’s open and constructive attitude. Henk Hofman shows the planners the company presentation of TGL.
Using photos Henk Hofman illustrates how the company Kralowetz showed its appreciation towards drivers, having worked for the company for at least 25 years. Martin Kralowetz took them on a trip through a part of the United States. Great photos of a great trip are shown!
Tonny Wolberink of Nijhof-Wassink shows in a power point presentation the opportunities and risks of AI. AI tools can help to facilitate the work of planners and improve quality of services. Concrete experiments are ongoing with AI tools, making better and faster choices for cleaning and filling up fuel stations.
Half way the morning the chemical and foodgrade department have their talks in separate meeting rooms, where they discuss how to improve cooperation and handle problems they face on a regular basis. Towards the end of the meeting all participants return to the main meeting room where Henk Hofman hands out the Tankceu trophy to the company Marlep, that cooperates with several food members and is very motivated which is also shown by their presence at all meetings.
In the evening the planners are taken on a guided walking tour to see a bit more of Warsaw, and are awarded for their input and participation of that day with a nice Polish meal in the historical centre of Warsaw.
