Tankceu General Meeting
of 19 September 2025 in Madrid

Henk Hofman welcomed the Tankceu members, and in particular Yusuf Tetik, Hakan Darip and Serdar Yeröz, representing the new, Istanbul-based Tankceu member, TET Global Lojistik (TGL). There were several interesting topics on the agenda for the meeting, including developments within Tankceu member companies. For example, Jurgen Vermeire presented a video of the opening of Alochem, the latest Altrea branch. Jerôme Minfray gave a presentation on EBTrans, in which he highlighted the purchase of the Mertz group and the forthcoming opening of the company’s new cleaning station in Grand Couronne. TGL provided a clear overview of their main activities and contacts. FoodTankers has purchased PreZero, a new cleaning station located near Helsingborg, which has increased their cleaning capacity and decreased waiting times. Martin Kralowetz showed some fabulous pictures of the trip to the USA that was offered to a group of his most loyal drivers, all of whom had been working for his company for over 25 years. Finally, Kralowetz is building a new workshop, which is expected to be operational at the beginning of 2026.

The Tankceu Board said farewell to Board members, Eugène Schnebelen (Brun – Blondel), who has retired, and Reimund Brenke, who increasingly lacked the time to dedicate to this role. Henk Hofman expressed his gratitude to both for their contribution to the Board and asked Petra Jongejan to present a photobook of his time in Tankceu to Eugène. Henk Hofman also thanked René van de Ven (DP World Rotterdam) for his longstanding cooperation with Tankceu and himself during his time as Managing Director of Lehnkering/Imperial Netherlands. Petra also presented a photobook to René.

Next on the agenda was a question about how far AI has been developed and implemented in the individual Tankceu member companies. This was followed by a discussion, from which it was apparent that only few members invest in AI, mainly limiting their efforts to identifying where to refuel and clean and to reading and sorting the many emails received daily with offers of loads and/or capacity.

After lunch, as usual the meeting was split into two groups – one for the chemical division and the other for food – to discuss what is happening on the market. At the end of the afternoon everyone joined together again in the main meeting room, where Paul Keegel and Jorge Fernandez of Intersoll Rand (Gardner Denver) gave a presentation of the many services they provide all over the world. In the meantime, the participants’ partners had returned from their excursion to the nearby village of Chinchón. After the photoshoot, everyone was offered dinner by Intersoll Rand in a nearby restaurant serving traditional food: salud y gracias Intersoll Rand, Paul and Jorge!

As usual, the next morning a guided tour of the historical centre of Madrid was concluded with an aperitif and tapas. And for those who had still not had enough of Madrid, a flamenco show starring the iconic Sara Baras was planned for that evening!
